Canva launches UK-wide campaign with Global to inspire creativity

Canva, the popular visual communication platform, has partnered with media owner Global to launch a multi-platform marketing campaign aimed at sparking creativity across the UK.

The collaboration includes a unique initiative with Global-owned Capital Radio, which invited listeners to submit bold, creative, and aspirational designs. The winning entry, chosen from these submissions, was prominently displayed on The Landmark @ London Bridge, one of Global's largest digital screens.

The competition, designed to encourage users to "design against dull" using Canva's tools, awarded the winner, Gabriele, an impressive prize package. This included a 10-year Canva subscription, an Apple iPad, an Apple Pencil, and a bespoke prize.

"This campaign has shown the incredible creativity people unlock with Canva. Seeing one of those designs light up London highlights how powerful simple tools can be in helping ideas make an impact", said Amanda Zafiris, Canva's head of marketing for Europe.

The campaign builds on Canva's previous efforts to showcase its design capabilities. Earlier this year, the Sydney-based brand conducted an outdoor media campaign at Waterloo, where 14 Global billboards were transformed into a live demonstration of Canva’s tools.

Gabriele, the competition winner, highlighted the ease of using Canva’s features to craft their winning design. "It was easy to create the design using Canva’s tools such as Background Remover, Magic Eraser and Special Effects to create different colors", they said.

This partnership between Canva and Global emphasizes the platform's commitment to empowering users with tools that make creative expression accessible to everyone. By highlighting user-generated designs in such high-profile locations, Canva continues to inspire creativity across the UK.
